STOKED Awards Gala was a Huge Success
STOKED held our 12th Annual STOKED Awards Gala on October 22, 2019 at the Midtown Loft & Terrace in Manhattan and it was our best yet! Thank you so much to our sponsors, supporters, donors, mentors, students and staff for making this an incredible evening!
Guests during the STOKED Gala cocktail hour
The evening began with a cocktail hour, followed by a seated dinner. Co-founder Steve Larosiliere got the evening started with some opening remarks, followed by an emotional reading by STOKED Alum Charles Joseph, reciting an original poem. MC for the night, co-founder Sal Masekela, then began the Awards ceremony, starting with Mentor of the Year, Matthew Wemple. CEO of VTS, surfer Nick Romito, received the STOKED Achievement Award.
